Operative rods (ShO) are intended for operative switching, testing of connections on power lines and substations, mounting details, dischargers, etc.
Operative-universal rods (ShOU ) are intended for changing tubular safety device, disconnections and other work.

The rods consists of:
- Handle;
- Insulating part;
- Working part.
Working part of rods ShO has a pin for operations with disconnections.
Working part of rod ShOU represents manipulator with moving apart jaws. The jaw has a pin for operations with disconnectors.
Insulating rod ShO and ShOU are manufactured from electrically insulated fiberglass plastic and have protective-decorative coating ensuring long exploitation life.
Insulating parts of rod ensure containment of inner space averting deposition of water, dirt and current conducting dust on the inner walls.
